Maternity photos!

I'm finally getting around to posting the shots from my maternity shoot, even though I got them almost 2 weeks ago. Yikes, I'm one busy mama. I know a lot of you have seen them on facebook, but I also know some of you don't have facebook. :)

I'm sure you'll also notice I'm alone. A friend of mine actually said "So it was kind of like an immaculate conception, huh?" Well the husband doesn't like photos. It's like pulling teeth to get him to take pictures! He promised to make an appearance in the newborn photos, but seemed extremely relieved that I didn't drag him along to the maternity shoot.

I'm also way too lazy to go around posting all of them..... So I just threw some quick collages in Picasa. Best. Program. EVER.

Hey Baby!: Week 20 Ultrasound

 Right before we went home for the weddings last week we had our 20 week ultrasound! The hospital gave us about 6 pictures, but I didn't want to ruin the gender for you all so I'll leave most of them off.  Without further ado, here's the cupcake at 20 weeks! I think the last one is particularly adorable since they're clearly smiling!

  

Hey Baby!: 12 Week Ultrasound

I know I'm a little delinquent, but here are some pictures from our 12 week scan. He or she is such a perfect little cupcake, complete with a little nose and adorable arms and legs! Jesse was much more excited this time, since at our 8 week ultrasound he was kind of surprised at how un-baby like our baby looked. haha

Hopefully we can share some new pictures at 20 weeks, but that depends on how much of an exhibitionist our little guy or gal is. We don't want to give away the gender to those who don't want to know. :)

For those of you squinters... that's an umbilical cord. :)

Hey Baby!: Week 8 Ultrasound

Yesterday we had our first prenatal appointment, complete with our very first scan! I'll admit I was a little worried, since I had heard that usually the first scan was a little... invasive? Hopefully you get my drift. Imagine my surprise when the nurse first the ultrasound wand on my pelvis area, I guess being thin makes it easier to do it this way the first time around. Not that I or anyone would call me thin right now. Ha! I had also heard that I wouldn't be able to hear the little one's heart beat, so I had set my self up to just see the flicker. Again, surprise and shock when I heard a methodic "thump thump thump" coming from the machine. I asked the nurse if it was me (pregnancy brain pass, thanks!) and she told me "Oh goodness no, sweetie! That's the baby!"  As you can see, 167 bpm and going strong!  They also set my due date as either 1/20/13 or 1/21/13.. It's shown on the 2nd picture as both. So I guess we're already mildly uncertain of arrival!
